On a previous show, Pastor Chad Vegas of Sovereign Grace Church in Bakersfield, CA visited the AGR studio to talk about his path to reforming his church, and his intent to join the URCNA. In this episode he returns to address why he had to pull back on entering into the URC, and discusses the complexity of his congregation that is both credo and paedobaptist. They discuss the hard lines and gray areas of church membership and Pastor Gordon explains the URCNA standards on communion and baptism that are designed to honor God, and uphold the importance of a united church body.

After completing his M.A. in Theology at Talbot, and being the high school pastor at RiverLakes Community Church, Chad was called to plant a church in Bakersfield. He is also the founding board chairman of Radius International, an organization that trains people to plant churches among unreached language groups. His passion is to know Christ and to make him known. He has been married to Teresa since 1994, and they have two children and one grandson.
