As Paul mentioned in 1 Timothy 2, we must pray for salvation for all people, even kings and all who are in high positions. In this episode, Rev. Dan Borvan and Pastor Chris Gordon sit down in the AGR studio for a deeper look at what Paul meant and how it applies to their ministry in California, a place many see in an unfavorable light.
They look at California’s large, diverse population and how destructive and expensive political policies, and lack of morality in general, have led to overwhelming problems that have caused some to flee the state.
They turn to the book of Jonah and his calling to preach repentance in Nineveh as an inspiration for believers to share the Gospel here and now, no matter where it may be or how daunting the task. Their conversation serves as a much-needed reminder for Christians to not wish for the demise of those who openly oppose God in word and deed, but to pray that The Lord will bring them to faith and repentance.
