Show Notes

In this sermon in Matthew 25, Pastor Chris Gordon continues the study of the Olivet Discourse, focusing on what it means to live a prepared life in this present age. He highlights that while the previous parable of the ten virgins focused on internal preparation, the parable of the talents illustrates the active service and stewardship expected of those who belong to the Kingdom of God.

Gordon argues that the "ready servant" is one who truly knows the Master and is motivated by that relationship rather than fear. By examining the contrast between the faithful stewards and the slothful servant, he encourages the congregation to see their work and abilities as property entrusted to them by a generous Savior, calling them to invest in the Kingdom with joy and confidence.
