Show Notes

In today’s episode, Rev. Dr. Jon D. Payne and Pastor Chris Gordon continue their conversation about the true mission of the church and the power of prayer. The discussion turns to Christian persecution, the upcoming presidential election and the inevitable political tension that will accompany it. They stress the need for Christians to unite in recovering a warm-hearted, clear, Reformed mission of the church and offer up Godly ways to engage and debate with those of different beliefs. It’s obvious that now more than ever, we should prioritize glorifying the Lord in how we communicate with others, and Rev. Payne describes a chance encounter with a presidential candidate that proves that very point. This episode is a sound reminder to remain calm and confident that God is still building his church, even as we see earthly churches caving to the culture of chaos, and falling away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
