Debating Doug Wilson Face to Face - Part 1

Doug Wilson and Jared Longshore, pastors of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, traveled to Escondido for a three-hour debate with Pastor Chris Gordon on Christian Nationalism, postmillennialism, Federal Vision, masculinity, and more. The conversation was cordial, robust, and at times intense, and both men were gentlemen throughout. Why hold a debate like this at all? Most criticism of Wilson stays confined to blog posts, podcasts, and articles, where premises go unchallenged and the rhetoric often turns cruel. Pastor Gordon wanted to take up these issues face to face instead, out of care for the many Christians who are genuinely confused right now and are looking for clarity. He addresses Wilson's writings and their consequences directly, including statements on justification that he regards as seriously concerning, while insisting that our Lord's commands about how we treat those we disagree with are not suspended by our judgments about them.
