In today’s episode, Rev. Bill Boekestein of Immanuel Fellowship Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Rev. Joel Dykstra from Wellandport URC in Southern Ontario, Canada are back in the AGR studio. Their conversation continues as they discuss the blatant opposition to morality in today’s culture. Rev. Dykstra sheds light on the advanced stages of immorality happening in Canada and the difficulty of expressing biblical beliefs and convictions there. They all discuss what biblical marriage is and the challenges they face as pastors today performing those marriages. In the end, they acknowledged that even in these turbulent times, there is hope and opportunity to witness for the true Christian church.

Rev. Rev. Joel Dykstra is a graduate of Mid-America Reformed Seminary and has been serving as the pastor of Wellandport URC in Ontario, Canada since 1998. He and his family continue to serve there faithfully to this day. He also serves on the URCNA’s Committee for Ecumenical Relations and Church Unity (CERCU) and on the Classical Committee for Home Missions (CCHM) in Classis Ontario-East.

Rev. William Boekestein is pastor of Immanuel Fellowship Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He has authored and co-authored many books, including Why Christ Came, The Glory of Grace, The Quest for Comfort, and Faithfulness Under Fire. Many of his books were written with the hope that they would help children gain a greater appreciation for the Christian faith and Reformation church history. His most recent book, written along with Jonathon Landry Cruse and Andrew J. Miller, is titled Glorifying and Enjoying God: 52 Devotions through the Westminster Shorter Catechism.
