Abounding Grace – Plagues part 13 Lest we forget Exodus 12:43-13:6 part 1

As we begin the last part of our plagues series we are told to remember all that God has done in the passover and then pass it on to their children and childrens children.

  1. I disagree with what you said in your broadcast today. Using the term alien is offensive. As a pastor you shouldn’t be using it. I assume your parents were immigrants which makes them illegal aliens? I believe in God but I don’t believe in derrogatory terms when it’s being directed to the creation of God.

    • Dee, it’s the Bible’s choice of a word, please don’t let cultural abuses prevent you from hearing what a word means in it’s original, Biblical context, it is, after all, embedded in thee very law of God. We’re all “‘aliens’ from the common wealth of Israel (Eph. 2).”
Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed. (Exod. 23:12 ESV)

      Thanks for listening.
