In this episode of Abounding Grace Radio, Rev. Chris Gordon is joined by regular guest Rev. Dan Borvan of Christ Reformed Church to delve into 1 Timothy 1 and the critical necessity of discerning true gospel ministry. They explore the sobering reality that the greatest threats to the church often arise from within its own ranks, mirroring the warnings given by Jesus in the Olivet Discourse and the Apostle Paul in Acts 20.
The conversation highlights the hallmarks of false teachers—corrupting the mission, hypocrisy, and satanic service—while contrasting them with the genuine humility and conversion found in a true servant of Christ. By examining Paul’s own testimony as the "chief of sinners," the hosts emphasize that true qualification for ministry is rooted in God’s mercy and a faithful subscription to the historic Reformed standards.
